Every athlete's week,
already read.
Rundown Coach turns your athletes' synced runs into 0–100 scores, plan fit per session and a ranked list of who needs you today — then puts your note inside their app.
One email from coach@therundown.app when your seat is ready.
Nice control through reps 2–5 — that's the Berlin rhythm. Don't chase 3:55 on the last one; even is the win.
Invite. Sweep. Act.
Your Monday in three moves.
Your athletes already sync to Rundown. Coaching adds a desk on top of it — nothing for them to log, nothing for you to chase.
Send a link. They say yes in the app.
Consent is the athlete's: all-or-nothing, and checked live every time you look. If they revoke, your view goes dark instantly; they keep every note you left.
A ranked list, not a feed.
Who needs attention floats to the top with the reason attached — a volume ramp, HR drift on a tempo, two missed sessions, eight days of silence. Steady athletes stay a glance.
Read the run. Leave the note.
Open the run receipt — score, pillars, what drove them, adjusted pace and its factors. Leave a one-way note that lands on that run in their app, marked seen when they've read it.
What you see. What you never will.
Coaches read what Rundown computed — the same numbers the athlete sees. Raw streams never cross to a coach identity, by design and by database policy.
You see
- The Run Score, 0–100, for every run — with the pillars behind it, their attributions and a confidence read.
- Adjusted pace and its factors — heat, humidity, hills, wind — so a 9:30 that was really an 8:25 reads as one.
- Plan fit per session — in zone, off zone, needs confirm, missed — for the plan you or they brought in.
- Weekly reports and readiness, plus basics: date, distance, duration, average pace, session type.
- Per-split deltas only — "faded 18 s/km over the last 3 km," never the table it came from.
You never see
- GPS routes or maps. Where an athlete runs is theirs.
- Heart-rate streams or any second-by-second data.
- Raw split tables. Deltas, yes; the laps themselves, no.
- Private log notes and felt-rating. The athlete's diary stays a diary.
- Anything after a revoke. Visibility is checked at read time, never cached — it ends the moment they end it.
Your zones, your paces, your plan — in their app by the time they lace up.
Type in the units you think in; the athlete reads theirs. Every change is dated, attributed to you, and applied forward — the runs they've already done keep the scores they earned.
- Zones & paces that outrank the defaultsCoach-set zones take precedence over custom, HRmax-derived, Strava and generic ones — and feed scoring from the day you set them.
- Edit the plan, leave a trailChange a target, move a long run, add or drop a session. It applies instantly and the athlete sees exactly what changed and when.
- Import the block you already wrotePhoto, CSV or pasted text — the same importer athletes use, from your side of the desk.
- A Monday digest, so nothing slipsOne email: who moved, who slipped, which notes are still unread.
No new app to install. No thread to keep up.
Everything you do shows up where the athlete already looks: on the run, in the plan, under their profile. The tab bar doesn't change.
- Notes land on the runAnchored to the run or planned session it's about, with an inbox under the You tab and a badge for anything unread.
- Plan changes announce themselvesA changelog moment — "Coach Dana moved Sunday's long run to Saturday" — and a push if they've allowed it.
- Zones carry your namePillars scored against your zones say so — "Set by Coach Dana" — so a changed score is never a mystery.
- Sharing lives under their profileOne screen shows what's shared, with whom, and a revoke button. They can end it any time — and keep every note you wrote.
Trackside on your phone
The roster and today's runs read on a phone at the track. Leave a note between reps; save the editing for the desk.
Trends, side by side
Small multiples across the roster — score, volume, adherence over the block. Compare without ranking.
Works on the tablet too
Desktop, tablet and phone all render without a horizontal scroll — measured in a real browser, every build.
The questions coaches ask first.
Do my athletes need Rundown?
Yes — they connect Strava inside the Rundown app, and that's what you read. The athlete beta is capped right now; when we invite you, we'll tell you exactly how seats work for your roster.
Can athletes reply to a note?
No. Notes are one-way, with a seen receipt so you know it landed. Conversations stay wherever you already have them — this replaces the spreadsheet, not the text thread.
Does coaching change their scores?
Only forward. Zones or paces you set score the runs that come after; nothing in their history is rescored. Each affected pillar shows Set by Coach so the change is never a surprise.
Who can see what I write?
The athlete, and you. Notes are private to the link between you. If they revoke sharing, you lose visibility into their runs; they keep the notes.
What does it cost?
Early access is by invitation and we're keeping it small on purpose. You'll get the terms with your invite — nothing to decide before you've seen your roster in it.
Raise a hand.
We'll bring the roster.
We're inviting a handful of 1:1 coaches at a time so every roster gets a real onboarding. Tell us how you coach and we'll email once, when your seat is ready.
